Lenovo India in partnership with BharatCares has installed 1,000 LED streetlights across 30 villages in Puducherry as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

According to a press release, the commissioned streetlights were inaugurated by Assembly Speaker R. Selvam on Tuesday.

According to Shrikanth R. Dhanakshirur, Director – India Manufacturing, Lenovo India, “As we expand our make-in-India manufacturing lines in Puducherry, we are also deepening our commitment to the communities that support us. This growth has enabled more local employment and strengthened our engagement around our facilities. Through this initiative, we are bringing 1,000 LED streetlights to 30 villages, aiming to create a safer neighbourhood and contribute to long-term sustainable community development.”
