A court here has awarded life imprisonment to five persons in a murder case.
According to prosecution, P. Pon Nimesh, 35, of Kulaiyankarisal was murdered by an armed gang in 2015 due to prior enmity.
The Pudukottai police arrested M. Ponsekar, 70, his son Subhakar, 32, M. Ramesh, 30, his younger brother M. Suresh, 28, and M. Madasamy, 31, all from Kulaiyankarisal, in connection with the murder of Pon Nimesh.
First Additional Sessions Court Judge Thandavam awarded life imprisonment to all the five accused and imposed a fine of ₹15,000 each on them on Saturday.
