Lifer for two in murder case

A court here has awarded life imprisonment to two persons in a murder case.

According to prosecution, A. Udaiyar, 76, of Ayyanarooththu under Kayathar police station limits and his relative R. Gothandaraman, 40, of the same area murdered P. Annamalai, 43, also from Ayyanarooththu, in 2019 due to prior enmity.

First Additional Sessions Court Magistrate Thandavan awarded life imprisonment to Udaiyar and Gothandaraman on Wednesday and imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000 each on them.
