Liquor bottles worth ₹5.76 lakh seized in Rangareddy

The Rangareddy Excise Department enforcement team seized 192 liquor bottles worth ₹5.76 lakh that were allegedly being brought into Telangana from Delhi, Goa and Puducherry. Acting on a tip off that imported liquor was being flown in and sold illegally in the State, officials carried out vehicle inspections at Pahadishareef. During the checks, notices were issued to 20 individuals found in possession of large quantities of liquor, in violation of Excise rules. Further investigation is under way.
