A large-scale job fraud has come to light in Madhapur after nearly 400 people were allegedly cheated by a fake IT company operating under the name NSN Infotech.

The case came to light when more than 20 victims approached the Madhapur police on Wednesday (November 26) claiming they had been deceived after paying between ₹80-₹90 lakh in the hope of securing employment.

According to the Madhapur Inspector Krishna Mohan, the complainants stated that they were contacted by the firm, which promised them IT jobs and demanded between ₹2 lakh and ₹3 lakh from each candidate. After collecting the money, the accused disappeared, leaving the aspirants without any job or refund. The fraudulent activities are believed to have continued for almost a year.

One of the victims, Prabhakar, lodged a formal complaint, based on which a case has been registered against Srinivas, the CEO of the firm, Director Swamy Naidu and HR personnel Aruna. Police said investigations are under way to trace the accused and determine the full extent of the fraud.
