Bharatanatyam programme

Vallaba Vidyalaya conducted Salangai Pooja – devotion to Bharatanatyam. “We at Vallaba believe that every child should grow with a sense of pride and appreciation for our culture and heritage. This Salangai Pooja is one such effort,” said M. Vallapan, Chairman of Vallaba Vidyalaya.

Shanthini Arunagiri, Bharatanatyam CC Coordinator, Mahatma Group of Schools, was the chief guest. She highlighted her opinion that every child should be indulged in any desirable art form, as that would help them to navigate their life with so much ease, with a relaxed and rejuvenated mind.

A total of 17 dancers from classes IV to VIII performed Bharatanatyam. They had training under the guidance of S. Dharani, Bharatham teacher.

Children’s Day celebration

Madurai Meenakshi Matriculation Higher Secondary School celebrated Children’s Day with skits, songs and dance performances by the teachers. Kindergarten students dressed as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. A Book Fair was inaugurated by correspondent P. Jothi Senthil Vel Murugan, director Prinita Kalyani, and principal Vimala.
