MoU signed
The American College, Madurai, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IMAI Research and Development, U.S.
The MoU was signed by principal and secretary J. Paul Jayakar and IMAI Research and Development, Krishna Kumar. This collaboration was initiated by Bursar M. Beulah Ruby Kamalam.
Mr. Paul Jayakar said that the collaboration would elevate the collegeās scientific research ecosystem, provide international exposure to students, and faculty.

In another event, Alumni Association of The American College, Madurai, paid tributes to K. Lakshmikanthan Bharathi, freedom fighter, former Madurai Collector, and an alumnus, with the theme āA Tribute to a Century of Courage and Serviceā.
Director of Alumni Association V. P. Sagimaynonathan highlighted Mr. Bharathiās journey from a 16-year-old participant in the Quit India Movement ā imprisoned for six months ā to becoming an IAS officer.
Mr. Bharathi shared his memories from 1942, including the student protests, his imprisonment, and his return decades later to Madurai. He urged students to cultivate clarity of purpose, social responsibility, and moral courage.

Idhayam Rajendran School, Madurai, organised the Dr. Kamal Babu 1st TN State-level Childrenās Chess Tournament ā 2025, bringing together young chess players from across Tamil Nadu.
Dr. K. Kamal Babu, Ophthalmic Surgeon and COO, Vasan Eye Care Group, inaugurated. Dr. Indhumeena, gynaecologist, Karunai Hospital, distributed prizes to the winners and appreciated the childrenās analytical abilities.
