The Vallam Police have arrested a 30-year-old worker on charges of stalking and threatening an educated woman to marry him.
According to the police, the accused, Bharani, 30, of Cholan Nagar, Manojipatti followed the woman, a graduate, residing in a nearby area and had been pestering her to marry him.
Enraged by her refusal, the accused barged into her house on November 26 and threatened her, the police said.
Subsequently, the woman lodged a complaint with the Vallam police who arrested Bharani on Thursday on charges of stalking and threatening a woman.
