Man critical after tree branch falls on him in Anna Nagar

A 50-year-old person is in critical condition after a tree branch fell on him in Anna Nagar on Tuesday. A senior official of the city police said Anjan of Red Hills worked at a warehouse at W Block in the locality. When he was waiting at the junction of 3^rd and 5^th Main Roads, a tree branch fell on him. The impact knocked him off the vehicle, and he injured his neck during the fall. He was admitted to a nearby private hospital. Officials of the Greater Chennai Corporation, along with police personnel, removed the branch from the road. The police are investigating.
