The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board has imposed a penalty of ₹10,000 on a user in Banjara Hills for using drinking water line to wash his luxury SUV.
The incident was first noticed when the Board’s Managing Director K. Ashok Reddy, while passing through Banjara Hills Road No. 12, saw the violation. The local branch manager was then instructed to serve a notice and impose a fine.
Mr. Reddy appealed to users to use drinking water responsibly, and not for other activities. He warned that appropriate action would be taken against violators.
