A 32-year-old hotel employee, identified as Tilak Kumar from Himachal Pradesh, was found dead under a roadside tree with his throat slit in J.P. Nagar 1st Phase recently.
On finding the body, local residents informed police. A police team rushed to the spot and conducted a preliminary inspection. The Scene of Crime Officers examined the body and the surrounding areas.
Based on the nature of injuries, the police initially registered a case of suspected murder. However, a probe revealed that the deceased himself purchased a knife from a nearby shop shortly before his death.
The police have now registered a case of suspicious death and were waiting for the post-mortem report for further investigation.
