A man was trampled to death by an elephant in Denkanikottai, here on Wednesday (October 29, 2025).
The deceased was identified as Krishnan of Thavarakarai village. He had taken his livestock for grazing along the reserve forest near Thavarakarai. According to sources, a lone elephant that was roaming at the stretch attacked Krishnan, killing him on the spot.
