An unidentified person allegedly attacked a man and robbed three-and-half sovereign ‘thali’ chain from his wife at Perambalur four road area in the early hours on Wednesday.
Police sources said Balamurugan and his wife were asleep in their house when the unidentified person gained entry through the rear side.
He allegedly attacked Balamurugan with a rod and robbed the ‘thali’ chain from his wife and fled from the spot. The Perambalur police have registered a case.
