Mandya tops State under Poshan Abhiyaan

Mandya district has secured first rank in the State under the Poshan Abhiyaan, a flagship programme of the Centre for providing nutritional support to pregnant women and children.

This achievement was announced during the DISHA meeting chaired by Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in Mandya on Thursday (October 6).

Mandya has 2,558 Anganwadi centres and midday meals are supplied to 1,838 schools under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman scheme, Mr. Kumaraswamy said.
