Meenakshi Hospitals cardiologist bags international award

B. Kesavamoorthy, Head of the Department of Cardiology, Meenakshi Hospital – Thanjavur, has won the runner-up award for his presentation at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) 2025 Conference organised by the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF), an international educational forum in interventional cardiovascular medicine.

According to a hospital release, Dr. Kesavamoorthy’s case study paper on the “Handmade Covered Stent: For Type III Coronary Artery Perforation,” was recognised for its innovation and clinical precision in managing a rare and life-threatening coronary complication using a handmade stent creatively prepared to save patients and selected for the runner-up award at the conference held in San Francisco during the last week of October.
