The Department of Studies in Botany, University of Mysore, in collaboration with the Agricultural Technology Development Society (ATDS), Uttar Pradesh, will host the ninth international conference on ‘Advances in Agriculture, Biological and Biodiversity Conservation – 2025’ from November 13–15 at the Vijnana Bhavana auditorium, Manasagangotri, Mysuru.
The three-day conference aims to bring together scientists, academicians, policymakers, research scholars, and postgraduate students from India and abroad to discuss innovations and challenges in agriculture, biological sciences, and biodiversity conservation.
According to a release, the event will serve as a vibrant platform for sharing scientific knowledge, innovative technologies, and sustainable approaches to address global agricultural and environmental issues. About 350 delegates representing universities, research institutions, and national laboratories from across the country are expected to participate. The conference will also feature 15 eminent speakers and 14 international delegates, it said.
Participants will deliberate on key topics such as biodiversity, climate change, alternative energy sources, artificial and synthetic intelligence applications in plant science, hybrid development for food security, and green initiatives aligned with sustainable development goals (SDGs).
S.R. Niranjana, Vice-Chairperson, Karnataka State Higher Education Council, will inaugurate the conference at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, and Vice-Chancellor N.K. Lokanath will preside over it.
