MIA handles highest monthly traffic of 2.28 lakh passengers in October, 2025

Mangaluru International Airport handled 2.28 lakh passengers during this October, which is the highest monthly traffic handled so far in 2025-26.

The airport posted on X that of the passengers handled, 1.53 lakh were domestic and 74,294 were international. “A month that truly took flight. Mangaluru airport marked a new milestone this October,” the airport said.

The airport, managed by Mangaluru International Airport Limited, said that it handled 1,641 air traffic movements (flights) last month. It included 1,240 domestic, 379 international, and 22 general aviation flights. The ATMs were the highest recorded so far in the current financial year.

It may be mentioned here that the airport witnessed a 10.95% growth in total passenger traffic in the first half (April-September) of this financial year.

The passenger traffic went up from 1.12 million in the first half of FY 2024-25 to 1.24 million in the first half of FY-2025-26.

The airport facilitated 9,245 ATMs during the first half of this financial year, marking a 16.20% increase over H1 FY 2024–25.
