Minister inspects construction work in Chennai

The Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, P. K. Sekar Babu, inspected various projects on Saturday (July 5), including work in a marriage hall near Sri Srinivasa Perumal temple at Egmore, a multipurpose hall at Agastheeswarar temple in Villivakkam, a senior citizens’ residence under construction in Kolathur, and a new building for Arulmigu Kapaleeswarar Arts and Science College in Kolathur.

According to a press release, the consecration ceremony at Arulmigu Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur was scheduled for Sunday (July 7).ā€œThe Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements and directed the distribution of food packets. Three IAS officers were given additional responsibilities,ā€ the Minister said.

The release stated that the senior citizens’ residence in Kolathur would accommodate 100 residents and include toilets, a dining hall, a library, a medical centre, a small park, yoga and meditation rooms, and walking paths, and that ₹5 crore had been received through corporate social responsibility (CSR) funding for this project.
