The Group of Ministers (GoM) constituted for the successful conduct of the birth centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba reviewed the arrangements for the event with District Collector A. Syam Prasad and members of the Sri Sathya Sai Trust at Sai Aramam in Puttaparthi on Tuesday.
The GoM, headed by District In-charge Minister Anagani Satyaprasad, includes Satya Kumar Yadav, N. Savitha, and Anam Ramanarayana Reddy as members. The Ministers reviewed the security, accommodation, transportation, and medical arrangements being made for the celebrations.
Mr. Satyaprasad said all necessary steps should be taken to ensure that visiting devotees face no inconvenience and that the celebrations reflect divinity and devotion. “As there is a possibility of a large turnout of devotees, special focus should be given to traffic management, sanitation, street lighting, and drinking water facilities in Puttaparthi,” he said, urging officials to work in close coordination.
Mr. Satya Kumar Yadav reviewed the medical and health arrangements and asked district health officials to ensure adequate medical facilities for devotees, particularly elderly people, women, and children. He directed that ambulances, emergency response teams, and medical camps be positioned round the clock along major roads, guest houses, and other key locations in Puttaparthi.
Ms. Savitha stressed the need for a concrete action plan for the celebrations to be held from November 17 to 23, as several dignitaries are expected to visit Puttaparthi during that period.
Collector Syam Prasad gave a PowerPoint presentation on the arrangements made by the administration, including preparations at the airport and helipad, traffic and parking management, medical camps, temporary toilets, dustbins, and other facilities.
