A minor boy was booked for harassing a minor girl after sexual assault, which led the latter to end her life in Uppinangady.
The police said the minor girl consumed pesticide on November 4 and she died on November 12. The mother of the deceased filed a complaint accusing the minor boy of sexual assaulting the girl. She further accused the boy of joining another person in harassing the girl, which led the latter to end her life.
The Uppinangady police booked the minor boy and the other accused for offences under Sections 74,79 and 108 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 8 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
