Minor boy booked for theft on Panambur beach

The Panambur police booked a minor boy for theft of over ₹3 lakh worth valuables from a couple on the beach on November 24.

In a complaint, Swati Nandipally, 24, said she and her friend Rohit Vemmaletti came to Panambur beach on November 24 morning. They placed their valuables in a black bag on the shore and went to swim. When they returned, the bag was missing. She had kept her 12 gm gold chain, a 2 gm gold locket, two 2-gm gold rings, a pair of 4 gm gold earrings, and her mobile phone. Rohit had kept his mobile phone in the bag.

A team led by Panambur Inspector Pramod Kumar apprehended the minor boy on November 26 and recovered the stolen valuables.
