MLA for Yadgir Channareddy Patil Tunnur has referred complaints from farmers on improper crop loss assessment and directed officers to release compensation by carrying out a proper assessment, as thousands of farmers have lost crops owing to continuous rain and flood.

Chairing a quarterly review meeting of the Yadgir Assembly constituency here on Saturday, Mr. Tunnur said the farmers have faced difficulties after losing crops due to natural disasters. While the State government directed the officers to conduct a proper assessment on crop loss, the majority of the farmers were complaining about the improper survey.

The officers should attend to farmers’ grievances on this issue and release compensation to ensure that no such lapse happens in the future.

He directed the Health Department officers to attend to the drinking water problem in the district hospital when the issue came up for discussion. He further suggested the officers take all precautions to complete a successful drive on polio vaccination.

Mr. Tunnur directed the officers to complete the survey and identify the land for the proposed Kasturba Residential School in Wadagera.

He called the Gescom officers over the phone and asked them to take action to provide electricity connection to anganwadis when officers of the Women and Child Development department brought up the issue.

Referring to complaints about lack of proper direct transportation from Wadagera to Hyderabad, the MLA directed the officers of the KKRTC to resume bus service, enabling commuters to reach Hyderabad directly without depending on buses from Yadgir.

He suggested them to distribute the amount to beneficiaries under the ‘Gruha Lakshmi’ scheme. Expressing unhappiness after knowing that some officers were absent from the meeting, he said that officers must be present at every meeting called to discuss progress.

Mr. Tunnur appreciated the Animal Husbandry Department for making efforts to administer vaccine to cattle for Foot and Mouth Disease, as the district stood in second place in the State’s list, achieving 98% target.
