Former Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said the comment by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy that cyclone Montha was a manmade calamity and the government left the farmers to fend for themselves, was ridiculous and unwarranted.
He stated in a press release that Jagan Mohan Reddy should know that natural calamities were the outcomes of nature’s fury and beyond anyone’s control, and do something useful to the masses instead of merely doing eye-wash visits of the cyclone-affected areas.

Mr. Ramakrishnudu said the steps taken by the government to mitigate the impact of Montha were laudable and the relief activities were going on in full swing.
“Jagan Mohan Reddy is caught in his own political calamity of losing out badly to the Telugu Desam Party-Jana Sena Party-BJP alliance in the 2024 elections. He is yet to recover from it,” the Former Minister added.
