More awareness needed to recognise contributions of disabled persons, says T.N. Governor

More awareness to recognise persons with disabilities and acknowledge their contribution is needed for society, said Tamil Nadu Governor R.N Ravi at the celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disability in Chennai on Monday. “As much as possible, all assistance and help should be given to persons with disabilities, who withstand their difficulties to deliver their commitment. This is our responsibility,” he said.

Mr. Ravi also felicitated over 65 persons with disabilities for their achievements at the event. “The environment does not allow them to prove their capability and efficiency. They should be provided a conducive environment as they are also part of one family,” he added.
