The State government is set to hand over three lakh newly constructed houses to beneficiaries across Andhra Pradesh, marking a major milestone in its commitment to the “House for All” scheme aimed at providing permanent homes to the poor.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will inaugurate the mass house-warming ceremony on Wednesday (November 12) from Devagudipalli village in Rayachoti mandal of Annamayya district. He will also virtually dedicate newly completed houses across all districts and hand over house keys to the beneficiaries.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), 2,28,034 houses have been completed under the Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC) category, 65,292 under PMAY-Gramin, and 6,866 under PMAY-Jagananna. In total, 3,00,192 houses have been completed and will be inaugurated simultaneously.

The State government has also implemented a people-friendly sand policy, enabling each beneficiary to access nearly 20 tonnes of sand free of cost, thereby reducing construction expenses and expediting project completion.

“Providing a shelter for every poor family is the alliance government’s foremost priority,” officials said. Since 2014, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government has completed over eight lakh houses under various housing schemes. In the current tenure alone, three lakh homes have been built within 17 months of governance.

The previous government, by contrast, halted housing projects, cancelled 4.73 lakh sanctioned houses, and left payments to 2.73 lakh beneficiaries pending. The present government cleared these arrears in phases and revived all stalled projects.

The Chief Minister’s launch event will be joined virtually by Ministers, legislators, and officials from all districts, according to a press release.
