The cadets from the Tirupati NCC group formed a striking formation, aligning themselves in a pattern that, when seen from above, resembled the map of India on the occasion of National Unity Day at Sri Venkateswara University’s Tarakarama Stadium on Friday (October 31, 2025). With the national flag proudly positioned at the centre, they stood united and recited the pledge, symbolising their commitment to national integrity.

The event received a rousing round of applause from the visitors, including the in-charge Joint Collector and Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) Commissioner Narapureddy Mourya, who lauded the zeal and commitment of the cadets towards upholding the honour of national integration.

Responding to the proposal by the NCC officials to hold a ‘Swachchatha drive’, the Joint Collector welcomed the move, adding that it would inspire local communities to take ownership of their surroundings and contribute to a sustainable environment.

Colonel Satinder Dahiya, Group Commander, NCC Tirupati, hailed the NCC cadets as a young and disciplined force displaying a steely resolve.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) city unit observed the day by garlanding the portrait of Sardar Patel at the Tirupati Head Post Office. Party leaders Gundala Gopinath Reddy and Kattamanchi Chandrababu Yadav recalled Patel’s role in unification of the various provinces and building the modern India.
