Nitika Pant takes charge as new SP of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district

Nitika Pant, a 2017 batch IPS officer, assumed charge as Superintendent of Police of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district on Saturday (November 22).

Prior to this, she was the Commandant of 2^nd Battalion, Telangana Special Police, Yapalguda, Adilabad.

She had earlier served as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Women Safety, Cyberabad and DCP, Task Force, Hyderabad.

Speaking after taking charge as SP in Asifabad town on Saturday, she said strict action will be taken to curb smuggling and sale of narcotic drugs and other banned substances, among other illegal activities.

Focus would be laid on maintenance of law and order, and prevention of crimes against women and children, she added.
