Amid hectic political activity over the leadership issue, Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has said that none has raised a dispute over Chief Minister Siddaramaiah continuing in the post.
Speaking to presspersons late on Thursday at his residence, he said, “The party has given him a post and we are all working together.”
Asked about his supporters leaving for Delhi to push for his elevation to the post of Chief Minister, Mr. Shivakumar said he was not aware of the development.
‘It is a tragedy’
Meanwhile, as the Congress government completed its halfway mark of two-and-a-half years, the BJP has termed this period as “two-and-a-half years of tragedy” for the people of the State.
In a statement, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashok alleged that the only contribution of the Congress government to the State so far was corruption, misrule, and rise in the cost of services and commodities.
Meanwhile, the BJP in a social media post came out with a coin indicating the value as “zero rupee”, alleging that it was synonymous with the Congress government’s performance in the last two-and-a-half years.
