The State government has given administrative sanction for the ₹2.38-crore project for the development of a children’s play park, garden, recreation zone, and surrounding area at Padiyoor-Pazhassi Eco Planet in the district.
“The project will ramp up tourism infrastructure and provide a modern recreational space for children and families in the region,” said Tourism and Public Works Minister P.A. Mohamed Riyas.
“The development initiative is expected to transform the site into a family-friendly ecotourism destination with improved amenities and a well-planned garden and play area. The first phase at a cost of ₹5.66 crore is nearing completion,” the Minister added.
A caravan park, ropeway, and solar boats were also being planned at the Eco Planet to make it a mega recreational park, the Minister said.
