In a noteworthy act of philanthropy, U.S.-based NRI Mantena Ramalinga Raju on Wednesday donated ₹9 crore to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams for the modernisation of pilgrim accommodation complexes in Tirumala. The contribution was made in the name of his daughter Nethra Mantena and son-in-law Vamsi Gadiraju.

TTD Chairman B. R. Naidu felicitated the donor at a media conference at Padmavathi Rest House and praised his continued support to the temple administration.
