Officials conduct site inspection ahead of the President’s proposed visit to Malavalli in Dec.

The district administration officials of Mandya conducted a joint inspection of a site in Malavalli along with local MLA P.M. Narendraswamy on Friday ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s proposed visit to Malavalli in December 2025.

A statement issued here on Saturday said Deputy Commissioner of Mandya Kumar and Superintendent of Mandya district Mallikarjun Baldandi were part of the district administration team that conducted a joint site inspection.

The team visited and inspected the piece of land in front of Shanti College on Malavalli-Mysuru main road and discussed the construction of a stage or platform. The officials of Public Works Department were instructed to construct a well-equipped stage in co-ordination with the taluk-level officials.

The municipal officials were instructed to ensure proper arrangements for drinking water and adequate parking facilities at the programme venue.

The police officials were directed to give top priority to security during the programme with appropriate protocol arrangements.

The team inspected private lands and instructed public works department officials to identify a suitable location for a temporary helipad and submit a report.

The officials were instructed to take all necessary measueres in view of the President’s visit, the statement added.
