District Collector Sumit Kumar on Wednesday directed officials of Agriculture and allied departments to ensure full participation in the ongoing ‘Raitanna Meekosam’ survey, terming it a priority initiative to strengthen support for farmers.

The Collector was reviewing the progress of the programme with the officials at the district, division and mandal-level teams to expedite the survey.

Mr. Sumit Kumar tasked the officials with visiting the homes of nearly 2.5 lakh farmers across the district and uploading comprehensive details, including landholding, crops grown, yield patterns and current requirements into the Cultivator app. The Collector insisted that every field visit must include mandatory geo-tagging to ensure transparency.

He instructed the sectoral and mandal-level officers to deploy village secretariat staff in cluster-wise teams to cover all villages efficiently. “Information related to Annadata Sukhibhava, subsidised seeds, fertilisers, pesticides and other benefits must be updated promptly on the app. Chittoor district has a target of 2.02 lakh survey entries,” Mr. Sumit Kumar said.

He directed the survey teams to verify whether Annadata Sukhibhava assistance had been credited to farmers for the current season as part of the door-to-door exercise.
