One held for petrol bomb attack on anganwadi in Tirunelveli

The Tirunelveli Town police have arrested a person for hurling a Molotov cocktail on an anganwadi on Thursday night.

Police said an unidentified person lobbed the Molotov cocktail on the anganwadi near Kandigaiperi farmers’ market on Thursday night even as his associate was recording the attack with his mobile phone.

When the visuals of this incident went viral on social media, the Tirunelveli Town police started investigating.

As one Ayyappan of Tirunelveli Town was allegedly involved in this incident, the police arrested him on Saturday even as the hunt is on to nab his associate.
