A 52-year-old man was killed and four others injured when a car crashed into the rear of a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus on the national highway near Kavalampeta in Kandi mandal early on Sunday.
According to the police, the accident occurred around 5.30 a.m. when the bus was travelling towards Hyderabad from Narayankhed. The car reportedly lost control and rammed into the back of the bus.
The deceased has been identified as Balayya, a resident of Chandkhanpally near Narayankhed. The injured were shifted to the Government Hospital in Sangareddy for treatment, and police said two of them are in a critical condition.
A case has been registered and an investigation is under way to determine the cause of the accident.
