One-vote margin decides fate of Karingari ward in Wayanad

Kozhikode: The candidates in the Karingari ward of Vellamunda grama panchayat in Wayanad district offer a clear illustration of the value of every single vote. In this hilly village, the outcome was decided by a margin of just one vote, producing a true photo finish. LDF candidate Unnachi Moidu won the ward with 375 votes. NDA candidate Manoj Padakkottummal finished a close second with 374 votes, while UDF candidate T.K. Mohammedali secured 373 votes. The winner could not be determined until the very last vote was counted.
