The Salem Rural District All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), on Thursday (November 6, 2025), demanded that only the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) should receive the filled-in forms from the voters.
In a release, AIADMK district secretary R. Elangovan said that the filled-in forms from the voters under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) should be received by the BLOs concerned. But in the Yercaud, Attur, and Gangavalli Assembly constituencies, the BLOs allegedly try to get the filled forms through the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) booth agents, which will pave way for malpractice.
The BLOs allegedly did not give the forms for voters and the officials involved in the works said that they have only got a few hours for the SIR works. The BLOs allegedly give information about their visit to ruling parties’ booth-level agents only. A petition was given to District Collector R. Brindha Devi in this regard and the Collector assured that the issues would be sorted out, Mr. Elangovan added.
