District administration has removed over 1,500 flex boards installed in various parts of Kollam in violation of the election model code of conduct following a complaint.
Collector N. Devidas has said that the construction of the Achencoil-Alimukku road, which has already received administrative sanction, will be examined to determine if the code of conduct is applicable, taking into consideration the court’s directive.
An explanation was also sought from the authorities concerned regarding the complaint about the transfer and release of an employee at the Karunagappally KSRTC depot.
While considering another complaint related to the placement of campaign boards in Perayam, the panchayat secretary was asked to take further action, and a directive was issued for inspection by the anti-defacement squad.
An investigation will be conducted into the complaint about unauthorised campaigning in violation of the Motor Vehicles Act. The complaint regarding non-compliance with the green protocol will be forwarded to the appropriate Returning Officer for inspection and action.
