Three drug peddlers transporting ganja from Odisha to Maharashtra were arrested by Excise officials in Khammam during an enforcement operation near Rallavagu in Anantapur municipality on Friday. The officials seized 30.5 kilograms of ganja worth an estimated ₹16 lakh.
Those arrested were identified as Rahul Ashok Anwal, Sanket Balasaheb Lodwal and Harichandra Kishore Lonkar, all residents of Maharashtra. They were handed over to Khammam-2 Excise Station personnel for further investigation.

In a separate operation, the State Task Force (STF) – A team led by Excise Superintendent Anji Reddy seized 41 bottles of non-duty paid liquor brought from Goa and Delhi via air travel. The bottles were confiscated during road checks and later handed over to the Saroornagar Excise Station personnel. A case has been registered against those involved.
