The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is progressing swiftly in Erode district, with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) collecting 8,23,876 filled-in enumeration forms from voters, said District Election Officer and District Collector S. Kandasamy.
In a release, the Collector said the Election Commission of India launched the special revision exercise on October 27, 2025, and field-level enumeration began on November 4 across all eight Assembly constituencies. A total of 2,222 BLOs have been deployed for door-to-door verification and form distribution.
Of the 19,97,189 voters in the district, 19,64,228 enumeration forms (98%) have been distributed so far. The revision work will conclude on December 4, 2025, and voters have been asked to submit the completed forms to the respective BLOs or Booth Level Assistants (BLAs) to avoid any omission in the draft electoral roll.
To assist voters, help desks have been established at the District Collectorate, all Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) offices, and at polling station locations. These centres help voters fill out the forms and also receive completed submissions.
The district administration has resolved 47 complaints and 155 queries through the help desks. The toll-free helpline 1950 received 232 complaints, of which 163 were resolved immediately, while action is in progress on the remaining 69 cases.
The Collector said extensive voter awareness programmes are under way, including rallies, pamphlet distribution, direct public outreach, and social media campaigns using videos and photographs. Voters can also contact their respective BLOs, whose mobile numbers are printed on the enumeration forms.
For assistance, voters may reach the following numbers: District helpline – 1950, WhatsApp help desk – 90425 80535, Erode East Assembly Constituency – 0424 2251618, Erode West – 0424 2254224, Modakkurichi – 0424 2500123, Perundurai – 04294 220577, Bhavani – 04256 230334, Anthiyur – 04256 260100, Gobichettipalayam – 04285 222043 and Bhavanisagar (Reserved) Assembly Constituency – 04295 220383.
