Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) former chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy appeared before Additional DGP (CID) Ravi Sankar Ayyanar in Vijayawada on Friday (November 28, 2025) for questioning in the TTD Parakamani case in the wake of recent interrogation of TTD former executive officer Dharma Reddy.Â
The CID officials obtained a statement from Mr. Subba Reddy on his version of the theft of currency by counting supervisor C.V. Ravi Kumar from the offerings made to the Tirumala temple.
Mr. Subba Reddy is held responsible for the passage of a resolution that approved the offering of gifts/donation of properties worth ₹14.50 crore to the TTD by Mr. Ravi Kumar, who is the prime accused in the Parakamani theft case, in purported violation of the norms.Â
On November 27, Mr. Subba Reddy told media persons that he was not aware of the involvement of Mr. Ravi Kumar in the theft case and that he had no iota of suspicion about the nature of those gifts/properties.Â
He maintained that the TTD Board takes up the agenda brought before it by the officials and decisions are unanimously taken by the members, for which he could not be solely blamed.
