Visakhapatnam International Airport has recorded a rise in passenger footfalls in the first seven months of the financial year 2025-26.
According to airport director N. Purushottam, “Domestic passenger footfalls stood at 16,50,797 and international passengers at 59,115 during the first seven months. Based on this data, the total passenger footfall at the airport for this fiscal is likely to surpass last year’s figure of 29,54,979.”
In 2023-24, the total passenger footfall was 27,88,914. The total flight movements recorded for the first seven months were 12,830 and for the first six months was 11,021. Going by these figures, the total flight movements for 2025-26 is projected to be more or less close to last year’s figure of 22,324 flight movements.
