Pawan Kalyan to inspect dying coconut groves in Konaseema

Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan will inspect the coconut orchards that are dying along the stretch of Sankaragupatam drain in Razole assembly constituency in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district on November 26.

Thousands of coconut trees have died, while the trees that are surviving have stunted growth across the 12 villages along the Sankarguptam. The damage is attributed to high salinity levels in the water of the drain. 

Razole MLA Deva Prasada Rao said that Mr. Pawan Kalyan will tour all the affected villages before interacting with nearly 200 coconut farmers to understand the environmental challenges on November 26.
