The police arrested a school physical education teacher with 416 gm of MDMA he allegedly kept for sale from a lodging near MES Medical College Hospital at Malaparamba, Perinthalmanna, on Tuesday.
Mujeeb Rahman Chelodan, 32, was arrested by a special narcotic wing of the police led by sub-inspector Shijo C. Thankachan following a tip-off. Mujeeb hailed from Koottilangadi near here.
According to the police, Mujeeb had worked at several schools and turned to drugs sale with the hope of making a quick buck. The police said they would seek Mujeeb’s custody for further investigation.
