Residents in parts of Teynampet, Kodambakkam, and Adyar zones will not receive piped water for 24 hours from 10 a.m. on November 9.

A press release from Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) said water supply would be suspended from 10 a.m. on Sunday to 10 a.m. on Monday to facilitate pipeline interconnection works to be taken up on Sterling Road and R.K. Salai in Teynampet. The work will be carried out by Chennai Metro Rail Limited. Areas, including T. Nagar, Choolaimedu, Saidapet, Thousand Lights, and CIT Nagar, will not receive piped water.

The CMWSSB has advised residents to store water in advance and book water tankers through ‘Dial for Water’ online service for immediate requirements. However, it will continue street water supply.
