
Twenty-three protesters were arrested in two different cases registered at the Parliament Street and Kartavya Path police stations on Sunday.

Hours after a Delhi court on Friday granted bail to nine persons accused in a case related to a scuffle at the Parliament Street police station, another court sent eight of them to seven days’ judicial custody in a separate case. Twenty-three protesters were arrested in two different cases registered at the Parliament Street and Kartavya Path police stations.
They were accused of attacking policemen during a protest on Sunday. On November 27, 17 of those arrested in connection with the Parliament Street FIR were produced before a court, which sent four to police custody and the others to judicial custody.
Of the 13 remanded in judicial custody, nine were granted bail on Friday by Judicial Magistrate Sahil Monga. However, 15 of the 17 protesters were arrested again in connection with the case at the Kartavya Path police station. Of these 15, seven were arrested on November 25 and the remaining on Friday.
Judicial Magistrate Aridaman Singh Cheema remanded those arrested on Friday in judicial custody for seven days.
