The trailer of the much-awaited anime series, Witch Hat Atelier,was unveiled by the makers on November 18, confirming that it will premiere in April 2026. The series is based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kamome Shirahama.

It follows a young girl Coco, who dreams of becoming a witch in a magical world. The trailer shows her doing everyday chores in a rural setting. However, her life changes when she sees a traveling witch Qifrey perform magic by drawing a sigil. Later, Coco replicates the same drawing which gives rise to an explosion of magical energy at her home but she is saved by Qifrey.
The unexpected turn of events set her on a dangerous path as she becomes an apprentice of Qifrey. The trailer is filled with gorgeous visuals. It ends with a shot of Coco, who is crowned with a pointed witch hat.
Witch Hat Atelier stars Rena Motomura as Coco and Natsuki Hanae as Qifrey. It is directed by Ayumu Watanabe with the characters designed by Kairi Unabara. The series features music by Yuka Kitamura.
The anime adaptation was originally announced in 2022 and was set for a 2025 release, but got delayed.
