Over 30 passengers had a narrow escape when a private bus rammed into tanker carrying hydrochloric acid on the Macharam flyover in Mahbubnagar early on Thursday (November 20, 2025). The accident was reported around 6.30 a.m.

According to Jadcherla Town Inspector Kamalakar, both vehicles were travelling towards Hyderabad from Kurnool at the time of the collision.

ā€œOn the flyover, the speeding bus operated by Jagan Travels rammed into the tanker from the rear end. Only damage was reported while the passengers escaped,ā€ he said.

Police and fire department personnel rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call. Traffic on National Highway-44 was briefly disrupted, and officials arranged an alternative bus for passengers to continue their journey to Hyderabad. An inquiry has been initiated against the drivers, and further investigation is underway.
