In the wake of photographs of a police sub-inspector attached to Hubballi Dharwad Police Commissionerate celebrating his birthday with history sheeters going viral, Hubballi Dharwad Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar has ordered an inquiry.
The photographs of PSI of Dharwad Suburban Police Station, Rudrappa Gudadari, celebrating his birthday allegedly with history sheeters were shared widely on social media platforms.
Mr. Shashikumar told presspersons in Dharwad on Saturday, he had received copies of the photographs posted on social media platforms and he had immediately directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police to look into the matter.
He also said that PSI Gudadari had been directed to report to duty at Police Control in order to facilitate impartial inquiry. It was a case of serious nature as the photos reportedly pertain to a private function. Based on report further action would be taken, he said.
