The Sri Sathya Sai district administration is making elaborate security arrangements in Puttaparthi ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit for the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, District Collector A. Syam Prasad and Superintendent of Police S. Satheesh Kumar said preparations were being thoroughly reviewed at key locations, including Sri Sathya Sai Airport, Hill View Stadium, Sai Kulwant Hall, and the ashram premises ahead of the dignitaries’ visit. The officials instructed departments to ensure seamless coordination and foolproof security for the high-profile event.

Collector Syam Prasad inspected the helipad being developed at N.T. Chowdary Layout and reviewed the Prime Minister’s route from the airport to the ashram, including his visit to the Maha Samadhi and the public programme at Hill View Stadium. The Collector prioritised the timely completion of works related to traffic management, parking, crowd control, and VIP arrangements.

SP Satheesh Kumar said multi-layered security would be deployed across all major venues and approach roads. “Round-the-clock digital surveillance with over 1,000 CCTV cameras will be in place throughout the celebrations. Special police teams are deployed to maintain law and order and prevent unlawful activities,” he said.
