Rajnath Singh confers Mini Ratna status on Hindustan Shipyard Limited

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday presented the Mini Ratna Status certificate to Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL). The certificate was received by HSL Chairman and Managing Director Commodore Girideep Singh during the Annual Performance Review of the 16 Defence PSUs held at DPSU Bhavan in New Delhi, according to a release.

Declaring 2025 as the “Year of Reforms”, the Minister underlined the national emphasis on research and development, indigenisation, and defence exports in line with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

HSL reiterated its commitment to strengthening India’s maritime and defence manufacturing capabilities through innovation, technology absorption, and self-reliant shipbuilding, the release added.
